Congratulations to Shlomi Cohen, who was recently named as a 2020 STAMI Graduate Student Fellow.
Shlomi Cohen, fourth-year QBioS Ph.D. student, was recently awarded a $5000 fellowship from The Center for the Science and Technology of Advanced Materials and Interfaces (STAMI). In addition to this supplemental funding, fellowships recipients gain access to the STAMI network, get to meet peers from other campus units, and are encouraged to participate in various STAMI activities, including the Distinguished Lecture Seminar Series and the Industry Partners Day.
Shlomi is co-advised by Professor Jennifer Curtis (School of Physics) and Shuyi Nie (School of Biological Sciences). His thesis proposal was entitled, “The Biomechanical Role of Hyaluronan in Cell Migration."
